I think it is a way of selling the university to you, in case you haven't made your choice yet, so you can compare what different university's teach for the same course.

Hi there! I am an advocate from Coventry who works on the open days. Applicant Days are designed to give you a detailed look into your course so that you can better understand its content and opportunities. I don't work in the department for your course but in ours we give course talks, do a couple activities to give you a taster of course content and show you around the building. It is also a chance to get one on one contact with the academic staff you will be studying under, which is very important. Knowing your lecturers and who is leading your course is vital, since you don't want to come to university and find they are all boring as hell and cannot teach! I really recommend coming and gaining as much insight as you can
Do you agree with the PM's proposal to cut tuition fees for some courses?
