I started taking birth control pills from last week. I just want to know about the nature of birth control pills, are they really work on time? Having any side-effect on the human body? Are they safe to consume without any doctor's prescription? I have lots of queries regarding abortion pills. Suggest my friends what to do or is there any alternative method to abort child without any difficulty.

There's a massive difference between taking birth control and taking the morning after pill. You must not use the morning after pill as a form of birth control. Oral contraception (the birth control pill) can be taken without the doctor's permission as you can get them from sexual health clinics. Birth control pills do not give you abortions so that isn't an option. If you want an abortion and it's more than 72 hours after having unprotected sex you need to see your GP.

.. and the 'abortion pill' is a third thing, designed to induce a miscarriage in the first few months of pregnancy. It's not a method of contraception.
Yes, the contraceptive pills have side-effects. Have a look at the wikipedia pages for
Combined oral contraceptive pill
The short version is that the side-effects are less than the risks being pregnant / giving birth carry, and only you know if they're worth it.
