I'm thinking of taking physics for A level , I got a grade A in maths in year 10 and am set to achieve the same this year (aqa linked pairs) , I am interested in how much maths is involved in the A level

Depends on your exam board, but there is a lot less than there should be. I'd say that at grade A at GCSE you will cope just fine, it's mainly just putting numbers in formula anyway.
