Choosing course

Hello. I have applied and successfully got a place in all five unis for English .some offered the course of English and linguistics instead though. I am probably going to have a master in teaching English as a second language but I am wondering which course it's better? Does the second one offer more is it better to have a more general degree with no linguistics?
Neither is better than the other. Do whichever one you're most interested in. You don't need a background in linguistics to do a masters in TESOL.

As above, but Linguistics might be a helpful addition for teaching English as a foreign language if you do bilingualism/learning a second language as part of that course - but that's only a slight benefit; don't go for the addition of linguistics if that's not what you're interested in!
