    Hi everyone,
I have a Pharmacy interview at University of Bath next week. I was wondering if anyone had any idea of what questions will be asked and the structure of the interview.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

    Hi there!

I'm a first year Computer Science student at Bath, so whilst I don't do Pharmacy, I can give you some reassurance about the interview process.

If you are invited to attend an interview then you should embrace the opportunity - a department will only invite applicants if their applications are sufficiently strong to consider making them an offer.

Different courses will require different skills, qualities and attributes, therefore, not all interviews will be looking for the same things. For example, an interview for a place on a mechanical engineering course may assess very different skills and qualities to an interview for a place on a social work course.

    Interview days may assess:
    • communication skills
    • motivation/suitability for study at HE level
    • motivation to study the subject
    • motivation to study at the chosen university
    • written communication skills
    • academic ability
    • critical thinking
    • analytical thinking
    • interpersonal skills
    • empathy
    • problem-solving ability
    • numerical reasoning
Once you have completed the interview you will need to wait patiently to find out if you receive an offer. It is highly unlikely that you will be told the outcome on the day, and as the department will interview a large number of applicants it is likely that you will need to wait a number of days, or even weeks, to receive a decision.

    Hope this helps!

    Chris
