What is an advantage of using a 1 ml cylinder and not an 10 ml cylinder??

It's more accurate for measuring smaller amounts.

It easier since it gives a more accurate answer.
When using 1ML you measure the volume at the bottom of the meniscus (The meniscus is the curved surface of the liquid in the cylinder). The meniscus is sometimes quite thick so it would be easier to read of a 1ML cylinder than a 10ML cylinder.
They also have more marks on the tube which makes it easier to distinguish how much liquid it contains.
