ou know when people come out with the statement- 'don't worry about it'. How does you mind decide not to worry about it? i find when I try not to worry about something and tell myself to stop it just makes it worse and i think and even dream about it. So when I decide just to accept it- it still just stays in my mind.

DOn't tell yourself not to worry. That will never work.
Instead distract yourself with other things. Play music or sleep sounds at night to keep your mind busy so you don't dwell on it. I like to write it down so I know it's not forgotten and I don't need to keep remembering.
When someone says "don't worry" they don't usually mean - don't think about it. They mean it's not something to get upset over and overthink.
