airport metal detector & religious stuff watch

    • Thread Starter

    Hey all,

im flying to europe soon and i wear a metal ring on a chain around my neck, (its brass, silver, iron and steel. its got multiple parts to it), and its religious. so will it go off in the metal detector at the airport, and if it will can i still keep it on while walking through the detector or will i have to remove it? (as id rather not remove it)

(useful to know that you cant see the chain usually because its under my shirt, so from the eyes of airport staff some guy just set off the detector for no obvious reason)

If you go through you'll set of the detector, they will ask you if you have anything metal and probably then ask you to take it off then go through again. Or they might just pat test you once you set it off and say it's fine. But really you are supposed to take it off
