    Hello,

I am currently in Year 12 studying Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Maths. Because of the new spec, AS exams don't count towards the overall A-level grade, so if you're doing full A-level course, you have to sit both AS and A2 in one go.

One of my teachers told me that if I want to apply to Cambridge, I can't sit any AS exams because they want me to to all exams in one go at the end of the next year, but I can't find any information about this.

Does anybody know more about this?

    Thanks in advance

Veterinary Medicine. I think I'm going to drop either Maths or Physics next year.

Cambridge encourages applicants to sit AS-Levels in their Linear A-Levels if their school offers them.

But if they don't, don't worry, you won't be disadvantaged.

Cambridge is introducing a new process for 2017 cycle applicants.
    Info here:

But Vet Med will stay the same (i.e you have BMAT).

So should I still sit my science AS exams?

If your school lets you I think it's a good idea.

And you'll be sitting Maths AS anyway.

Thanks I'm going to ring them up tomorrow anyway just to make sure and ask about any admission test and open days.

As far as I'm aware, BMAT is the only one I have to sit?
