How do I dye my previously dyed hair brown without it fading to red? Watch

I had my hair done twice at a salon, dyed cool/ash browns (or at least that's what I asked for, the hairdresser wasn't great and kept getting confused) and the first time it went a bit red and after the most recent trip, now it's just so ridiculously orange, even at the roots and it's been about four months so they should've grown out. This could've been a bad choice of shampoo and stuff because I used different this time to last.
Anyway, I want to dye my hair again and just get it cool brown close to my natural colour without it fading to red/orange because I don't like dyeing it really but I'm stuck in a cycle. What are the best hair dye brands to use and then best shampoo/conditioners for maintaining the colour?

    Please help! Thanks

try using babay shampoo they are less harsh so it might not affect the dye too much.

Silverising shampoos are meant for blondes, but they remove reddish tones and there's Touch of Silver in Bodycare or Home Bargains for a few quid so I don't see it doing any harm...
