We've heard a lot about college choices, but I don't recall seeing anything devoted to hearing from insiders who've had second thoughts.

Has anyone here opted to apply to a different college for a second degree at either Cambridge or Oxford? What went into the decision?

Do you mean as in doing a Masters etc at a different college or university? Or choosing to apply again because you didn't like the college you got an offer from?

If the first, I'm considering applying for a Masters and will probably choose to go to a different college, if not a different university. Not because I dislike anything about my college, far from it actually, but it would be nice to experience a different place and meet new people etc. Staying in the same place for another 1-4 years is a bit boring imo!

My boyfriend applied to a different college simply because they had more scholarships he was eligible for. He wasn't accepted and was allocated into a different college, which he likes but has little funding.

I applied to stay in the same college because I liked it and didn't want to leave :o:
