AQA AS General Studies

It all began in January when I thought this was a subject easier to pass than having to breathe... I was over-confident pretty much the same as the other 199 students doing General. Our teacher told us that you only needed above 52% to get an A. So I thought, ahh not a problem at all! I'll ace it superbly! So without any revision, anything at all, I entered the exam hall, wrote all four essay questions and walked out thinking it was sooo easy!

Then the exam results came out in March, only to be shocked with knowing that I got a U! Furious and frustrated I couldn't believe what I got, but then my nerves calmed when I found out that another 136/200 students had also received a U. Certainly something must've gone wrong...

Okay anyways enough about my life story... I'm resitting this module on Monday, and I just need some advice on what in the bloody world I should revise from? I have no book from college, hardly any notes. I'm stuck and depressed and do NOT wanna fail this.

Someone help?

General Studies, in my opinion, is quite difficult to do because of the nature of the questions. Although I opted out of doing General Studies, I was made to go to the lessons and try the papers. Maybe you could try past papers? I'm attaching the January 2006 ones. I'm not sure about all the units, so I'll attach them all, apart from unit 4 because that's for other languages. If you'd like more past papers, I'd be happy to attach them for you.

does anyone know where you can find the insert for the module 3 jan 2006 spec B paper?

Really need to have a look at a full exam paper, as the exam is on monday and i dont have a clue what to expect!

That's no problem. Which Specification are you doing, A or B, and which language?

Im under edexcel exam board, and i dont know what SPEC im doing, what i do know is the exam is Culture, and if u actually mean language then it's English? but i had no idea what you meant earlier about foreign languages?

Ive got the unit 1 exam tomorrow about culture or something...thinking of doing some quick revision...didnt turn upto many lessons this year :biggrin:

Last year i turned upto 4 lessons out of the whole AS year...and i got a grade B...thats not bad for a subject i dont even want to do (compulsory at our 6th form).
So anyone got any revision notes or good sites.
