So this question popped up in my maths homework and I need some help with it because my brain can't seem to figure it out. It'd be great if you could explain how I should go about solving it instead of just giving me an answer. Here's the problem, thanks in advance:

In a group of 20 people, 2 have red hair, 6 are blond and the rest have dark hair. Of the group, 15 people are right-handed. If a person is chosen at random from the group, find the probability that the person has red hair and is right-handed.

well, i hope i can give a good enough explanation.

if you pick 1 person out of random, 2 out of 20 will be red haired and 15 out of 20 will be right handed.

So, you multiply both fractions together to fit the criteria since you 1/10 chance to get a red hair and 3/4 to get a right-handed.

so, the result will be 3/40.

(hope this is right, havent been in touch with maths for so long)
