    How dare people call this "misogynistic", as if his comment (joke) was directed towards all the women in the audience and the women watching it live on TV... Misogyny and sexism are words that are far too easily thrown about, much like "Islamophobia" and "transphobia".

    Fry and Beavan are mates and even she acknowledges the sly joke. Since when is it up to the majority to decide whether a joke is a joke?

    As the Telegraph rightly puts it: "Stephen Fry is just the latest victim in the authoritarian Left's war on funny" and "Humour becomes all but impossible in an era when noisy mobs of self-styled holders of correct opinions are myopically policing what we say"
