I am starting my undergraduate degree in Politics with Economics next year at the University of Bath. However, looking at the distant future, I am planning to take my postgraduate studies in the United States for an MBA program. I'd like to go to Columbia for my MBA to follow my mother's exact footsteps (her Alma Mater). I heard American universities sometimes use a "Legacy Admission" system in which they prefer applicants whose relatives are alumni of that university. How well would my mother's Alumni status assist my application? Also, what GMAT score would I need for an Ivy League MBA? What scores should I aim for in my undergrad course?

Hi, Columbia always accepts the most competitive of applications so try to maintain high grades in your UG & also a 750+ in your GMAT. As far as Legacy admission is concerned, it may give your application a push but not against your credential & profile.
