instead of writing petitions how about acutally joining a party then you can write bills and motions .....
And thats a Nay from me ...
There isn't a party he wants to work with. Anyway this is how I started out my career in the MHoC (including the only vote in MHoC history with 0 aye's) so I fully support Lime-man and should he ever need help I'm willing to offer advice.

More independents would be cool, though looking at the GD/constitution they are somewhat crippled in what they can do.

They can still submit bills and they can join governments through ?

I think that more independents would be good. I know there have been many failed attempts to do so, but I think a Monster Raving Loony party would be quite amusing. ☺

Can they join governments? I don't remember any provision for that.

Limited? The issue is that the last time indies stood they all failed.

I would say failure of provision preventing them would allow it.

I'm pretty sure that there was a Con/ukip government with a Independent when rakas was PM and tory leader

    What was the petition on?

I think so, though it's worth checking the recent amendment I wrote to see if there is anything to preclude them in that. I didn't include anything deliberately that would do so, but did write it with the idea that generally governments have been formed recently by parties.

The current salary is already two and a half times the average annual wage of a UK citizen, changing this to £175,000 will more than double this.

Not sure really. I remember I wrote 3: one on setting age ratings for music, one on merging the uk inst the EU and one on something else. It was probably the former one with 0 aye's.

Also, I belive Indies are treated as a party unto themselves so there isn't an issue.

Yeah, I think its better because you are more free to put your own opinion across and develop your own alliances.

If you want to stand as a independent MP In the next election then you can submit a manifesto to the speaker of the house

It's also not that great due to now having the help to learn about the house.

We're pretty free to do that in the socialists tbh, but I doubt I could convince you to join.
