    Hi,
I have an Asus laptop which will no longer charge, the charger is still 100% intact and is fairly new. If I plug and unplug the charger a few times it seems to work, but as soon as my laptop moves position it stops charging again.

Positioning of the cable doesn't seem to matter, I can wiggle the angle about with no effect, only plugging and unplugging temporarily solves the problem. This made me thing perhaps it was a firmware issue with the laptop rejecting the cable, rather than a hardware problem with the cable?

Is there any advice someone could give me please, should I buy a new charger, or a new power socket for the inside of the laptop (assuming you can buy those), or should I try updating my BIOS if the problem is firmware related?

    Many Thanks,
    Sam.
