Phwoarrr I hope so....
10 to 1 chance of pulling :O :P
Nah I dunno to be fai, but I wouldn't worry about it, even if your course has lots more of one sex, if its the course you wanna do, why worry?
Plus surely the Uni will try and balance it all out?

Psychology is typically more of a 'female' subject. It's like that at most universities.
When I went for the UCL interview there was about 80 girls and about 4 boys, all of whom looked gay! Hopefully there'll be some talent in the halls!xxx

Out of 125 of us here, there's eleven guys, I think. Very easy to get female attention though.....
I never really noticed on open days actually.
The ones I went to seemed relatively balanced although in female favour.
Having said that to be fair, looking back and thinking about the guys I remember the words 'Suspiciously camp' come to mind :|

must....fight....stereotype!

EDIT: Actually....i fit very well into the 'suspiciously camp' collective, but that doesnt make me gay!

I'm going to the same Uni as my girlfriend, so it'll end up being more of a distraction to me than heaven.

Hopefully not too many people will look at Psychology and see it as a 'gay' subject just because of the ratio. I've had enough people in 6th form see it as an 'easy' subject, when it's pretty damn difficult!

Maybe I'll keep this in mind for my 3rd year project. Do only 'suspiciously camp' males wish to take Psychology? :p:
Hey what’s it like at Sheffield, is it mainly female doing psychology. I am not complaining!

Gender issues could be an interesting subject then :P

Alwaysagoth, when I went to an open day, I was one of 3 males out of a vast ocean of women. Also, I happened to be the only non-English student there, and the fact that I spoke fluent french as well as not having a pure british accent was apparently impressive. Haha.

I also visited Bath and they too have an 80-85% women population in psychology. I also asked each university for an explanation, and none of them could give me a good reason.

At Nottingham it was the same thing, with 80% women total.

But as people have said here, I won't complain.

EDIT: However, I do believe that girls are more willing to travel long distances for an open day. Lazy bums unite!

At Durham I think the ratio is 4:1 (female:male)

Ya thats why all short guys become psychologists, since its now a female dominated profession and so they fit in (heightwise).

I think also because men now go for psychiatry over psychology more, since its more prestigous and well paid (being a doctor and all). :P:
