Hello, basically I have an Iphone 6 with a malfunctioning screen. The screen started to malfunction randomly yesterday, the screen is blurry with multi coloured vertical lines. The phone still functions as normal except for the screen.

I have checked my phone for water damage and the indicator is clear as far as I can see. I think water damage would be more obvious anyway. There is a tiny crack but it is on the very edge of the phone in the black area. I don't believe the malfunction has been caused by me, as I have not dropped it or damaged it beyond normal wear and tear.

I rang up Apple today to attempt to get it fixed, I went through the normal procedures on the phone, e.g. reset and it did not change, the phone is still blurry etc.

Anyway, I ended up booking a Genius bar appointment for tomorrow. I am going in, but I am anxious to know if I will be charged? The price online is £90 for the phone to get a new screen. It does say online that the Apple warranty does not cover CRACKED screens, as my phone is not cracked then am I in warranty?

Will Apple replace/Fix this phone for free?

Warranty covers any issues derived from a manufacturer's fault, if it doesn't fall under that then you may be liable for a repairs cost. That being said, Apple will typically diagnose the issue for free, at which point you can choose either to go through Apple or look for alternative (aka cheaper) services elsewhere).

Well to be honest, I don't know what the issue is but i'm pretty sure it wasn't caused by me as it just happened randomly while I was using my phone.

I didn't drop it or anything.
