Fake tan and blonde dyed hair for a fancy dress party...

Hey, I'm wondering if it's possible to dye my hair and put a fairly deep tan on my face for just an evening for a fancy dress party? Would have to wash off after I have a shower, otherwise I'll look tremendously silly . Apparently there are spray dyes (my hair is a very dark brown though, if it makes a difference) - but I'm not sure how long these last or what's good to get. As for really temporary fake tan, I've had a google but can't find anything suitable?

Thanks

im not sure about the hair but fake tan wise.....i no Rimmel do a wash off fake tan for your legs (i believe so anyway) if its just for a party could you not just use that?

im guessing you want it to look really obvious and orange?! otherwise just get some bronzer and load it on..could take a while though.

otherwise, can u not wear a blonde wig? if your hair is really dark brown a spray might not be very effective.

hope it goes well xx

Rimmel sun shimmer should do the job. You almost certainly won't be able to dye your hair for a night blonde when you're dark naturally. Wig is the way to go methinks. xx
I agree with a bronzer rather than fake tan  also with the wig!

groovy  - I'll be getting this bronzer stuff then!

But unfortunately a wig really wont work as the style of the hair is British WW1, which means quite flat, parted and swept back! Plus I'm wearing a headdress of sorts too (i know it kind of covers my hair, but still ), so would the hairspray not work at all? Doesn't have to be 100% peroxide blonde, just a lot lighter .

Oh, and smilies for anyone who can guess the character .

Edit: Or maybe this or this (or the lighter version.. wanting a desert tan sort of look) bronzer?
No.7 (Boots) do a wash off tan. I'd use that, and then wear loads of bronzer!

Not sure what you could do about the hair.. clip in extensions or something? It sounds a bit difficult really, especially with the style you need!

Why, is bronzer different from a tan :s? As for the hair, smiffys do 'yellow hair spray'. I guess this will look awful?
Bronzer is makeup, it can easily be washed off whereas a tan changes the colour of your skin for a while. If you put a lot on your face and used the wrong sort it may not come off as easily (or for a while) whereas the bronzer would come off
Are you going as an Essex girl?

Oh brilliant thanks ! Although it will be slightly embarrasing admitting I'm wearing make up, but hey, it's fancy dress !

Heh, if it wasn't for the British WW1 haircut that could almost have been a good guess .

Spray on yellow hairspray would look awful and crispy IMO. xx

For temporary stuff, perhaps go with the bronzer esp. as it's only your face. I say this because 2yrs ago I went to a fancy dress party as an OTT prom queen and fake tanned with tanning wipes all over.

...Still covered in the stuff a few weeks later :| It had dulled by then but was still obvious as I'm quite pale, lol, and it started to peel :s-smilie: Had to do a major exfoliation session that left me very red
