I'm in College and coming to a end of Health and Social Level 2 which is only for a year. This September I'm going to be doing Health and Social Level 3 which is 2 years which is the same a Sixth form. Now my situation is that I'm a year behind of my year as I didn't do Health and Social Level 3 and my parents are them people comparing me to other friends of family doing sixth form. I'm not the smartest of people but I just feel so low of myself. I would tell someone but my self confidence has literally dropped and don't really like going out much. I really want to impress by parents but I don't know how to tell them that I know what I'm doing and they don't need to worry. I want to go to Uni that's for sure and I will do my best to get there. I need peoples advice and to talk about life. Plus I have NO friends not even joking... Thanks for reading my boring story and Hi lol.

It is quite normal for parents to be concerned, and for this concern to seem unkind. It is probably something you will need to make your peace with. I think the only way you will gain approval is by succeeding on the path you've chosen, which they are clearly unhappy with. If you have a good relationship with them I would definitely suggest telling them that you love them and respect their opinion but that you are trying your best and would far rather they support you than make you feel inferior to other people because the latter will simply make you perform worse.
