I am planning on studying at Birmingham or Manchester but I am unsure of what advantage I would have at studying one over the other. It's between Business and Management with a year in industry or International Business, also with a year in industry. I'd be grateful on any advice you could give me in regards to difficulty, job prospects etc.

There's probably no difference. A degree name is just a name, look at the modules to see what differences and similarities there are.

The course content details should provide the best indicator of differences/similarities.

Which University are you looking to study in Birmingham? I study Business Management at Newman University in Birmingham and I am really enjoying the subject. We also have a placement in our second year. -
