exams + ill = me

Goes in here?

Anywys, I'm sick like really sick with the flu. I'm coming off the computer in a minute and go to bed hopfully I'll be better. But I have a 10 huor exam tomorrw monring. I don't know if I can cope a 10 hour exam tomorrow. The flu hit me really hard today. I just had sore throat and blocked nose yeserday I took some medications for it really and I don't feel like I'm getting any better although I wasn't expecting a result overnight.

If I do miss my 10 hour exam tomorrow.. Will I be able to do it instead of Monday and Tuesday but Tuesday and Wednesday do you think.. Obviosuly if I asked the teacher or will I just be allowed for the 5 hour on Tuesday? Will they even let me enter for the 5 hours on Tuesday instead of 10 hour on Monday and Tuesday?

Sorry If it's all confusing... my head is not working at the moment.

Thanks in advance

If you really cannot make your exam tomorrow, see your doctor and get a doctor's note as proof.

Sounds like an Art exam? If so, with a doctor's note, they should be able to reschedule for you.

Art exam? Go to the doctors and get a note if you're really that sick... if it is the A level Art exam i sympathise, it's nasty.

When I did GCSE art a few years ago, I was admitted to hospital about a week before the exam with an arm injury. My teacher was very understanding and let me take the exam a little later (once I had recovered), should I need to. I would explain therefore to your teacher that you have the flu and get a doctor's note to prove it (sorry, I'm assuming that it is an art exam at school - I'm not aware of 10 hour exams at uni). Good luck anyway.

A lot of people who I know who do Art can schedule their hours whenever they want. Maybe it's the same for you.
I hope you feel better soon. I don't feel well either.

For my GCSE's i ended up in hospital with glandular fever (on a drip, as i couldnt swallow etc) for a couple of them, and they still said i'd need the doctors note. For me they just gave me a predicted grade, then again they were the last exams of the year, and probs a bit too late to reschedule. Yet was still the easiest A n B i've ever earnt...

Best plan would be to see how you feel in the morning. Maybe get up 30mins earlier so you can see how you feel once you are awake. If you are feeling really bad (And I can sympathise - I have the flu at the moment too :frown: ) then give your school a call as soon as it opens. Explain the situation and chances are they will ask you to get a doctors note and either re-schedule the exam or seek special consideration (where your teacher will you give you the predicted grade) Take Care. Hope you feel better soon.

You should be able to get them to reschedule. A girl I know hadn't prepared for our recent philosophy synoptic exam (four hours) so she told the lecturer she was ill and got to do it two days later. I guess that means they're pretty liberal when it comes to such things.
