I'm trying to decide between sharing a room in halls or having a single. Thoughts/opinions?

Having a single seems like the obvious option to me. You might not like or get on with a potential room mate.

Depends, probably just balancing cost with the merit of having a space to yourself... I couldn't deal with a shared room personally

a lot of people have flatmates who wind them up, at least at that point you can retreat to your bedroom for some peace and quiet... I think sharing a room would be very difficult

If you have the option, financially speaking, then I would opt for the single room.

If I was going to uni, I'd go for a single room straight away!
