I recently became sexually active. He doesnt use protection and neither do I. Im going to the doctors tonight to ask to go onto the pill.
Im presuming she will ask if there is a a chance I could be pregnant (realistically there is a tiny chance as I finished my period last week and since had unprotected sex). If i say yes what will happen? Will it postpone me getting the pill? Thanks.

They won't give you the pill if there's a chance you might be pregnant. Use condoms until after your next period, then take a pregnancy test. If you're not pregnant, then you can take the pill. You'll need to use condoms for a week after first starting the pill, then you can have condom free sex.

You can start the combined or 'mini'/progesterone-only pill any time in your cycle if you are sure you are not pregnant, and you will be protected immediately if you start on the first to fifth day of your period. Otherwise, you need to use another form of contraception for up to seven days, so if you started taking it tomorrow, you still wouldn't be protected for a week.
If you might be pregnant, having the mini pill can increase the chance of an ectopic pregnancy which isn't good whether or not you intend to have a baby, so I'd expect that to be ruled out.
