Information about business and management courses

I was woundering would anyone be able to have some information on what a business and management degree is like. Is the content of the course interesting? What are some of the main skills that you can learn when studying this course? Is there any group work involved?

Hey,

It's definitely worth googling this and seeing what courses come up, then take a look at the module content to give you an idea.

Most business degrees will take you down a pathway of your choice - you can specialise in Human Resources, Marketing or Entrepreneurship. Is there a particular area you are interested in?

There is likely to be group work involved so if you don't fancy that it's worth looking at how the course is assessed and make your decision from there.

You'll learn about business theory, specific to advertising/marketing/HR if you choose and it's also worth picking a course where you have a placement opportunity or year in business. This will help you in terms of future employability.

Does this help at all? :h:

Hi Ethan,
Where are you thinking about going to do business and management?
I study Business Management at Newman Univeristy and I was able to find what we do each year online with information in the prospectus too.
I'm in my second semester of my first year and the course has kept me really interested I've hardly missed any lessons apart from when I was ill because I enjoy the sessions and am motivated to come into uni. I've learned a lot already such as presentation, writing, referencing, essays, being confident to deliver presentations in front of the class. There is a quite a bit of group work which during assessment makes it easier because you have less to do and we are marked here more on our presenting skills than content. We learn how to produce good standard business documents, researching and analysing information.
