I'm from Newcastle and have been offered a place for this october 2016 . I'm dubious to rely on the durham university promotion videos and would rather hear first hand what it is like from somebody who is studying there. I have an overnight stay booked for March so that should hopefully help me . I'm an extremely outgoing character and I'm hoping to meet like minded people who are interested in the same things as me.

Also I will be 20 when I start Uni so I am also worried about not having friends my age too.. Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm currently at Durham and if you're looking for a busy city university then it is not the place for you. If you're looking for a quiet, small university where you can walk to everything and you aren't too bothered about the shopping or cultural experience then you would enjoy it. As for being 20 no one really cares and I've met a couple of people in your situation and no one is that bothered about age.
