i really like this girl and i decided to tell her, she said she had a crush on me and we should continue getting to know each other better and she'd tell me when she figured out her feelings, since then it seems to have gotten a bit staler and things aren't moving as quickly. Would it completely ruin everything if i was to ask her where we stand because on one hand i want to know if i'm wasting my time so i can move on but on the other hand i'm pretty much in love with this girl and i don't want to ruin anything

Ask her out and see what happens. Much better than asking where you stand with someone in this situation.

If you feel like it's falling apart, try to make more advances (ie holding her hand, hugging, kissing, whatever idk where you are at). If she is reciprocating thats great, if not I guess you will have to move on then
