    Struggling with a question on my course work and wondering if anyone can help.

    "Determine the polytropic process index 'n' from the initial and final condition parameters of the air (gas) in the air compressor cylinder."

    Im using to p1v1^n = p2v2^n equation and my values are

    p1 = 1.6 bar
    v1 = 0.04 m^3
    p2 = 11425608.39 Pa
    v2 = 0.0015 m^3

    I keep getting an answer of n = 1.3 but my tutor says its wrong.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated
