Yeah, you get 3 choices of accommodation when you sign up for accommodation and there's a form for you to fill in about yourself so they can better pick the people you live with. Not sure how much they actually honor it but I guess in a way I got what I wanted (a quiet flat, albeit a bit too quiet haha)

Is there a certain way in which we get allocated accommodation? For example, is there any way of indicating what kind of person we are/ what kind of people we would rather share a flat with? e.g. lively and sociable or more quieter types?
You do a quick personal statement about who you wanna share with :P

Hello! I was wondering if someone could give me a little synopsis of what the best halls are and what the attitude is for each - I'm looking for a single basin room, self-catered, where I can meet lots of different people my first year! I'm not a huge fan of commuting, but I don't mind if it gives me some social time. At the very least, tell me about the ones you know?
    Best,
    Sophie

    Hey Sophie,

You may be interested to have a look at iQ Student Accommodation Bristol. We're only a 10 minute walk from University of Bristol campus and only a 7 minute walk to the main shopping area - Cabot Circus. We are private student halls so we are full of students from your uni and we run regular socials so you can get to know each other. Our prices start from £153pw and for that you get your own private en suite bedroom with a 4ft double bed and a shared kitchen/living area.

If you want to know anything else about iQ then just PM us, or take a look on our website http://www.iq-student-accommodation....tol/iq-bristol.

    Good luck with your search!

have got an offer to study law in bristol, but am interested in taking a year abroad. On the website it states that only those that do well in the first year get to do the year abroad. How likely is it that, providing i do well, i'll be able to take the year abroad?

Out of curiosity, why does this thread exist when there is an official stickied and popular Ask a Bristol Student thread? Could this not be merged into that.
