This is the sixth form of my choice's business entry requirements:

5 A* - C including Maths and English with at least a C in GCSE Business Studies if taken, or another comparable GCSE qualification

Now here is the problem I am currently doing an NCFE business course which is an NVQ. For NCFE business we have to do 1 assessment that consists of 6 tasks, while the rest is coursework. We did the assessment once and I got 3 distinctions, 2 Merits and 1 fail. The Ncfe exam board make your lowest grade your overall grade( I don't even know why). Then we did the assessment the second time and I did task 1-3 fine, but the next day I was ill and I did some of 4, but I didn't do 5 and 6 because I was ill. I told my teacher and they said they I can convert my work to level 1 which is equivalent to a D, or if the NCFE exam board approves the appeal I can retake the assessment in October, but that will be after my GCSEs. Also I have more than 5 A*- C grades but these are my predicted grades and I have a predicted grade of a B in maths and a C in English. My question is will they let me take Business A level?
