But it was a test of difference, it was not correlational
    (Original post by amelialily97)
So i think the mark scheme might allow for mann whitney or spearman rho as long as both are well justified. I put mann whitney u, but from what i can remember about the stem i think spearman would be correct too.
I wrote spearman's because I thought the study was to see the correlation between the the questionnaire scores and the level of anxiety. But I think this is wrong and it was actually Mann Whitney as everyone else has said. That makes more sense becuase the study was actually to see the difference before and after the programme. I think other had also written Spearman's but I'm not sure if examiners will give the mark.. Probably not

Hate to counter argue but nominal is to do with independent groups... All inferential tests are independent groups except wilcoxon
That relates to statistical tests, not types of data. In terms of types of data, nominal is unrankable and ordinal is rankable (we don't need to know about ratio etc.)

Did I do mine wrong? One explanation was preference for creative individuals and included neophillia
Evol Explanariona for Attraction to Celebrity do involve Love for creative individuals and neophilia, dont worry

I left like 4/5 lines between each section, does anyone know if this will be okay, does the whole booklet get scanned?
You'll be fine, they're good at not missing anything

Grade boundary predictions? Higher or lower thank last year?
Im praying its lower because those last RM questions messed me up 😭 But I think they might be higher just by a couple marks looking at everyone else's responses. People on TSR and my school seemed to find it pretty good so there's a chance everyone else did too but you never know!

A lot of people around me in the exam hall barely wrote anything for schizophrenia.

They messed up big time lol

I really do expect grade boundaries to be dirt low because of that schizophrenia question

For the questionnaire asking for checking internal validity I put split half method is that right
I believe split half is for internal reliability, not internal validity. I didn't know what to put for that Q either, teacher never told us anything about internal validity testing. I just ********ted and said to compare it against similar questionnaires.

I left like one line will mine not get marked properly???
It's fine, the markers won't care. They just put that to cover their ass in case someone does something REALLY stupid like start a new question on the same line or whatever. They're not gonna make you fail your A Levels because you left 1 line.

    So...
For the first 30 mins I wrote about Biological explanations (in great freaking detail) rather than therapies. Realised my mistake though and managed to write about the therapies and include ECT and some BS Ao2 xD

Media.... I don't really know what they want for the 10 marker. I mentioned the pro-social behavioural traits (altruism, empathy, positive interaction) and used studies to show what they could do (e.g. I mentioned Sprafkin and their findings, then said the programme could contain instances of altruism whereby a child rescues an animal in distress; I mentioned Ostrov in a similar fashion but for eduactional media).

I only wrote 3/4 of a page, though...

H-Y model was pretty good... speaker ---> attention ---> clear message ---> comprehension ---> yielding and persuasion... I think that's right. (I did mention the audience throughout.)

Evolutionary explanations... I did Gossip theory using 2 studies and evaluating them (probably badly) and the other one about love of novelty and evaluated one study.

RM was pretty good aside from the consent form which I dragged out by quite a bit...

Managed to finish though so... yay? Next is maths tomorrow

Guys. Not leaving 2 lines will not affect your grade. As long as it's clear where the next question starts and you wrote the question number you'll be fine. Whoever marks it isn't going to make you fail your A Levels for not leaving exactly 2 lines.

Anyway, I have mixed feelings about how that went. I honestly could've gotten an A or an E and wouldn't be surprised either way.

Oh wow. A lot of people from my school didn't prepare for the schizophrenia question but still managed to get points in. Hopefully the rest of the country did badly on the schizophrenia questions too then 😂 Low grade boundaries would be a blessing

I put chi squared? The data was nominal (CNID)
Was it nominal? I thought it was ordinal.. I don't remember the question properly so I have no idea what the answer is but I'm pretty sure I'm wrong anyway 😭 If it was nominal the you'd be right but if it was interval then it was Mann Whitney but I can't remember fully sorry
