Hello! I have applied to both the University of St Andrews and the University of Edinburgh for postgraduate playwriting courses, specifically 'Writing for Performance' at the University of St Andrews and 'Playwriting' at the University of Edinburgh. I currently study at St Andrews and have received an offer to study 'Writing for Performance' but I am still waiting to hear back from Edinburgh.
I was just wondering if anyone here had any opinions or experience of either course, and would be able to tell me which they think is better. I have been given to understand that St Andrews' course is more academic while Edinburgh's course is more practical, for example - would I be correct in that assumption?

Thank you for any advice and opinions you can offer!

So, I have just heard back from Edinburgh - they have given me a conditional offer!
Any help anyone could offer, therefore, with knowledge of either course, would be amazing!
