I have offers from these universities for Spanish and German (alongside Business Studies at Newcastle) and am a bit unsure on which to choose, although at the moment Newcastle looks the most likely.

My offers are ABB for Newcastle and Edinburgh and AAB for Durham.

Just wondering if anyone has experiences of these universities/courses and would be willing to offer any advice?

While you wait for a response from some current students....

The courses look quite different in terms of assessment focus: Newcastle has a high emphasis on practical exam (https://unistats.direct.gov.uk/subje...eturnTo/Search ), Edinburgh on coursework (https://unistats.direct.gov.uk/subje...eturnTo/Search ) and Durham on exams (https://unistats.direct.gov.uk/subje...eturnTo/Search ) (second graph down shows assessment methods). Which of those suit you best will obviously depend on you.

You can click through the various tabs (employment, student satisfaction) to get a feel for the strengths/weaknesses of each course. The price of halls and private accommodation varies quite a bit (the nice thing about unistats is that universities can't hide expensive rents by putting them as weekly for long lets and termly/yearly for short lets where you have to move out over the holidays).

Do you agree with the PM's proposal to cut tuition fees for some courses?
