I'm asking this out of curiosity...is any other school really struggling with the core (and option?) GCSE ICT this year?
Back in year 9, we started a BTEC course, but found out about half way through the year that it has changed to GCSE, so none of our work was relevant and we had to start a new course about a music festival.
Well, two years later and a few months before our real exams, only about a quarter of the year group is actually passing ICT. After working countless hours, I've managed to get my grade up in my coursework to a C and my exam to a B, but I just cant believe how poorly we're performing as a year group.
I know a lot of people don't care about ICT and don't try, but even after speaking to my teacher I realised that they hadn't been teaching the course properly nor had they been communicating with each other. We also still haven't been taught most of the Unit 1 theory.
So, is anyone else having this problem? Let me know!

Same!! We did a community festival coursework in year 9, then during year 10 sometime we changed to the music festival, and pretty much everyone is attempting to get their coursework up to a C when our school's deadline is Saturday!!
