I can't say I have too much to complain about being at Cambridge thus far. It has its own, pecular nasty side to it, but so do most things. It would be a good idea prospective applicants to carefully consider their application - it is markedly different from how other universities seem to be, and that difference might not necessary be something you want.

Out of curiousity, in what way?

Disadvantages of studying at Oxford:
-Even though my classes are inter-/cross-collegiate, it's much much much easier to get involved in college life than it is to get involved in uni-wide societies.
-Speaking of the uni-wide societies, I found the selection of available societies at Exeter University to be far wider and not so undergrad-based (i.e. postgrads were made to feel more welcome) and communication (e.g. emailing) was often better too.
-Being forced to go catered really narks me off. In fact, I'm going to just give them the £60 overhead fees this term and feed myself because the food is **** for the money paid, and I'm not a little kid who needs to be told when to eat.
-While many of the people here are extremely intelligent, with this intelligence often comes arrogant ********edness (I have never seen anything like the behaviour at the OUCA dinner last term for example) and/or a complete lack of common sense (the number of people who apparently have no idea how to park a bike is just amazing).
-Work-wise, it sometimes feels like the staff expect more of you than is actually possible.

I also have trouble getting my friends to come and visit me - they visit my friend at Cambridge, but not me, because apparently everyone at oxford is "stuck up" and "not like them", and I can't work out why Oxford has a worse reputation for snobbery, because I found the atmosphere in Cam pretty much the same.

 I'm sure that's their reason for not visiting you. Epic post.

Yes, it was definitely well worth bumping a thread which has been inactive for nearly two years just to say that.

:sigh: Sowwy. Although it was an interesting thread. If I was at Oxbridge I'd wear my hoody everyday and shove in people's faces. I'd just feel such a strong sense of achievement that i don't think any other university comes close to matching. Surely this thread with its fake modesty and sincerity proves that point?

Your trolling is unoriginal and boring.

Your trolling is unoriginal and boring.

Does that mean some trolling is original and interesting?
