Just say NO! They can't force you, they can put pressure on you, but if you're having fun anyway there's no reason to give in. If you're not having fun, maybe try a glass or two and stop there.

No one will force you to drink, they're idiots if they do. It's likely you won't be the only one not drinking. Don't make a big deal of it, just drink what you want. No one will really notice.
Well it really is down to you whether you want to drink or not.

We just had our leavers night out on friday nite! And a gud friend of mine who doesnt drink was asked by loadsa ppl to take a drink and although they thot they were funny (they were her friends) she hated it! So she told them to wise the **** up and stop being so childish! They quickly realised that she was getting anoyed and bought her a coke! My advice- dont succumb to pressure, dont back down and let ppl know when you're getting annoyed!! A person who stands for nothing will fall for anything!! Enjoy ur nite!
Fill an empty alcohol bottle up with water. And just act like you are drunk. Simple. And maybe pour some grog on you to get the lovely smell.

There is a leavers party on thursday for our colllege. I don't drink and am worried this might be a problem there because most people will drink and they will try to force me into drinking.

What's the worst they can do? Laugh at you? oooooh! Just tell them to get lost.

My one concern is that we might be getting a drink on arrival and I have no clue what to do with it!

"I don't drink, thanks." [insert polite smile]

Why do teetotalers so often assume that those who drink are so uncivilized and inconsiderate, that they would "try to force you" to drink?

PS: That said, if they start teasing you about it, tell them sternly to stop it. They will stop.

Yer I mean we break up on friday so I hardly will know them after that. Its just that night I have to contend with.

If you get given a drink upon arrival, either don't take one, or give yours to someone else (I'm sure they won't complain).

They can't force it down your throat. Well, if they try to, then that's when you resort to violence. Really though, just refuse it.

that is a horrible idea. Dont do that just say I dont want to drink. If your going to go to uni get used to explaining why you dont drink and why you dont want to
Most events like that offer an non alcoholic alternative on arrival..I imagine it will be a choice of either whatever alcoholic drink or orange juice.

Just ask for a soft drink and say you're pacing yourself, just keep doing that and they'll forget all about your not drinking alcohol

If you are leaving college one would assume you are at least 17, and therefore capable of politely refusing. Or are you so weak that if someone offers you something you have to take it?

Some people don't like drinking, others can't because they drive, none get laughed at. Just say you don't want to drink and stick to it, if thats all they've got to talk about then i wouldn't bother going anyway, its probably going to be as interesting as watching paint dry.

I hope everyone is too busy dancing or getting pissed so they don't notice me.

Are you not drinking for medical, cultural or moral reasons?

Either way, nobody can force you to drink, just say "No thanks" and if they pester you, walk away. No need to get uppity about why you're not drinking, just leave it.

On the other hand, unless you have really strict religious/medical rules, one glass of punch is hardly going to kill you and might just avoid you panicking right at the start. You can either take it and drink it yourself, or give it to someone else, or just put it down somewhere and "forget" it.

Moral and cultural reasons. The guy who is a mate of mine who I will be with pretty much all night is also not a drinker. He said that if he got offered something at the start he could probably handle that and I was like:frown: lol.
