I cry too easily.

Heya people,
I have a bit of a lame problem, but here goes.
I am really emotional and cry so easily, and this week I am leaving school to go to a new sixth form after my GCSES. And today I had my last maths lesson and I was trying so hard nto to cry, Im gonna miss my school and my teachers so much.
Any tips on how not to cry? I seem to be the only one who seems to be upset, because most of my friends are staying on here but I'm leaving and going to miss the school so much.
I keep trying not to cry but I dunno why I just do :frown:

Nothing stays the same and things inevitably change. You have no power over this. Perhaps if you acknowledged this fact you'd care less? I dunno, I just get on with things.

Haha, I cried so much when I left school.

There's not much wrong with crying, I don't think. I have heard that if you don't want to cry you should look up with your eyes (not with your head) but I don't know if that works or not.

I don't see the problem in you crying. Its just just an outlet!

well, maybe you should cry, why bottle it up. No one is gonna think any less of you for crying because your leaving a place you've been for a lot of your life.

When our rugby season ended, it signalled the last time many of us would play together and considering many of us had been playing together since we were 7 we are talking the end of 11 years of rugby as a team. I didn't full on cry but there were the fair few tears amongst the team.

So, if you wanna cry, go ahead, why stop it, I prefer people who can express themselves to people who try and act tough and bottle everything up.
Yeah.

Don't bottle it up, it only makes things worse.

I used to cry a lot between 10-18 before I got to university and I guess it just went away by itself.

My ex used to cry a lot too, and again it went away by itself.

Don't beat yourself up about because it will only make it worse, chances are if you stop thinking and worrying about the crying, the tears will dry up on their own
There is nothing wrong with crying. Bottling it up is far worse - believe me, I've been there and it is not good. I tried to make an announcement to some friends yesterday and nearly broke down in tears during the announcement (basically I was explaining to my friends why I wouldn't be able to see them again) and just let it all out after the announcement. I'm sure it is just normal.
I have the same problem. But I've just learnt to deal with it, I'm just naturally a sensitive and emotional person and I cry because sometimes I need to have a release to get on with something. I am a lot tougher than I used to be, but I'd rather be emotional than unfeeling!

I've become more emotional over the past year, cry at things that i don't actually find upsetting! :s-smilie: But i've had a tough few years and i think it's just all my bottled up emotions coming out!!

Either way, it's not a problem! As you are leaving school people won't think you are strange for crying, loads of people in my year did!!

I let things get to me , i try not to bottle things up , but it does get to the point , going to explode unless try to talk someone first about it , helps i can let your feelings out , let go doesn't ever make you for alesser person for doing so!
hey dont wory about it if you cry its a good thing i mean it makes u feel better after a good cry. i cry when im realy fustrated and i am realy emotional person too. a lot of people around your age cry more because of all the hormones im nearly 18 and i still get times when i want to just sit down and cry for no reason, dont stress about it cas ur giving urself an unnecessary worry crying is a very normal part of life and ul cry a lot more so be prepared he he xx

A good cry is worth it once in a while.
I cried the day I left primary school for the last time even though most my friends were going to the same senior school as me. My parents always remind me of how I cried when I began primary school as well. I really hated it. Funny how things turn out.
Its something that you'll grow out of. You will probably feel sad when you have to endure similar experiences at college too but you probably won't cry- will just feel sad on the inside.

Thanks everyone
Its just that all the people in my year who are leaving like HATE the school, except me. So when I get upset they're like OMG AHHA

Oh goodness, I used to do this all the time when I was younger, had something of a reputation for it at school. Turned out I was suffering from depression at the time, though I'm sure teenage hormones didn't help either.

To the OP: just remember, it's all part of being human, and we all do it sometimes. It's nothing to be ashamed of (except perhaps in the case of Oscars acceptance speeches), and in all likelihood it's something that'll pass.

Ooh, don't be ashamed! Love your sensitivity.

I will cry at most things: anything remotely sad, most films, the news, as well as really sentimental things like my little sister being cute, when Christmas ends etc. I cried in school last year when I dropped AH English, and again a few months ago when I dropped bio. I cry when I see kids having lunch by themselves or kids who look lonely. Sometimes I just cry because I can .

Embrace your tears!
Ohh Its better to cry !!! (I am worse) In addition I cry when i laugh , so each time someone says a joke I start laughing then crying then evryone starts asking why i am crying :frown: and I start more laughing , so more crying....)
My last exam is tomorow :frown: I am gonna cry tomorow despite evryones opinions and looks) Its sad to finish school, its like saying GOODBYE to something you know you will never see again,,,(**crying**)
Anyway nothing shameful, its even better to cry , I heard that it is gd for health :hmm:

I think you'll simply have to learn to accept things. This might simply be a phase you grow out of. Only time will tell.

And why, oh why, would you cry for a Maths lesson? :frown:
