I'm a bit unsure on what to do after 6th form. I really like the idea of doing a Photography Apprenticeship however I cannot find anything within my local area and I am slightly worried that I am too unqualified in Photoshop/Lightroom to be accepted. I've looked into a Photoshop course however finding it very expensive, not sure if i should start an online degree within a gap year to get me started.

Don't be discouraged. There are lots to learn online. I started doing my Photoshop and Lightroom tuts on Youtube and it helped me a lot. No costly expenses just proper mindset, determination and time. There is nothing you cant do online. Plus! You can make money through it. Hope this helps!

Thank-you, everything I know about Photoshop I pretty much taught myself, so continue with that and look into some online courses, do you think that will help?

Yea, been there done that too. Its the least you can do if you are just starting up. And there are lots of tutorials on Photoshop that you can learn. You can try viewing deviantart.com, they have lots of good artworks there. Good luck to you! Keep your hopes high!
