How does it work for biracial people in focus groups? watch

    • Thread Starter

I have a friend who is creole and black and wanted to enter a specific focus group. But when they asked her race she said latina and black basically mixed. They disqualified her due to Latinas quota being filled. What I don't get is if she's half black then obviously if there's space for black American women I don't get why she'd be disqualified? I mean latina isn't even a race. Was the supervisor just ignorant? And I thought mixed people were usually considered black or they darker race between the two they're mixed?
Have you ever experienced racism/sexism at uni?
