How do I tell them?

I have graduated and have changed my career choice, this would require a further year or 2 of study. I have discussed my options with a few friends but really want to tell my parents and boyfriend. My dad would support me, my mom would tell me stick admin out even though it makes me unhappy and my boyfriend would just have a go calling me a drifter and dosser. Its so hard as these people are supposed to care about me which I dread their response.

There's nothing wrong with drifting. If it's what you want and it doesn't take too much out of you, go for it.

Just lean on your dad for support.

You should do whatever makes you happy. Are you going to get a job in an area where you wouldn't enjoy, just to please a few other people? If they disapprove, then that's their problem. It's your career/education, so you should be able to do what you want.

You have an entire life ahead of you, and don't let anyone tell you to dream otherwise! If you require two mores years then go for it ^_^ ! Two more years to follow the career you wish to follow or two decades of misery in a job you don't like.
