So I've applied and got a space to study Biomed at Cardiff. I'm predicted the equivalent of A*A*A* and a Distintion in a Subsidiary diploma, but I want to go with my gut to do Theology. (I've got the personal statement and everything from before but applied to Biomed as family pressure etc.) I wouldn't hate Biomed but I could do so much better, and would enjoy myself far more, if I was to do Theology.

Could I withdraw my entire application and apply again this year for courses accepting late applications, or is it better to go through clearing/adjustment, or wait and apply next year?

Any help would be much appreciated!

You cannot apply again in the same cycle. You can decline all your offers and enter Extra, which is just about to start opining now, or you could ask the places you have offers with if they would consider swapping you to theology.

Would I be able to do anything about my personal statement if I applied through extra?

You can't change your ps in any circumstances, but universities may be prepared to accept a new, additional one.
