For example how t helper cells relate to memory cells
Firstly, an antigen presenting cell (APC) such as a dendritic cell or a macrophage phagocytoses a pathogen. It engulfs and digests the pathogen and then presents some of the antigen on type II major histocompatibility complex on its plasma membrane. Helper T cells (or CD4+ cells) which have receptors that are complementary to the antigen will then bind to the antigen on the MHC type II complex and become activated. These Helper T cells will then secrete cytokines which will activate other Helper T cells and cause them to proliferate. Some clones of Helper T cells will proliferate and differentiate to become memory T cells, while others will proliferate and become effector helper T cells which will secrete cytokines. These cytokines will activate the correct cytotoxic T cells and also activate naive B lymphocytes which will produce antibodies which have variable regions that are complementary to the pathogen's antigens. These B lymphocytes, once activated, will undergo clonal expansion (proliferation). Some B lymphocytes proliferate and differentiate to form memory B cells while others will proliferate and differentiate to form plasma B cells, which will produce antibodies which are specific to the pathogen.

So what would then happen if you become infected with the same pathogen again considering you have memory cells?

I believe I have answered this on your other thread?
