First thing that comes to mind when I hear mental health is my own mental health conditions. Take my own personal experiences away from it then the first thing I think of truthfully is a mental hospital and the idea of it that you get from movies which isn't what its like in reality at all from what I've heard.

First thing that comes to me is illness, but also hopelessness and the feeling of being alone in your illness.

To me it's depression, and the worst part about mental health is the sometimes invisible nature of it. How a monster of a condition has manifested itself in an outwardly happy-looking person but on the interior they're actually being/have been torn apart my these mental health conditions.

The fact that the mental health service here is geared more towards fire fighting as in in times of crisis and less towards helping people to cope with their conditions and live better lives

How I have to fight a battle inside my head between what I know and what the anxiety is saying.

To me its how ****ed the mental healthcare provision in this country is.

Thoughts of "why Is it such a 'bad' thing that people will do anything to avoid saying it? Like, no-one react the same for a broken leg as a mental health problem"
"why do I have to hide mental health problems? silly question I know I do, because when I don't it causes more problems and the MH gets worse. Why is MH judged so badly when really the issue is no-one understands. But, the only way to change that is to talk about it more, it's just not possible if you don't want to suffer more"
