Okay so I'm fairly new at my work place. In my office one person goes to the local waitrose and buys food for everyone who wants it. There's no set days but everyone takes it in turn. There's one guy who likes to have someone go with him to waitrose. He's always taking ages asking the others to come along as its boring going on his own..but. He will not go with me. For weeks now he never asks me to come along and the one time I said I was going to go along anyway as I needed something specific he was really uncomfortable and made an excuse that he wasn't going anymore.

He's really friendly in every other way and goes out of his way to sit at my desk during the day. I've overheard him telling people he thinks I'm attractive looking so he can't dislike me.

He has a girlfriend but everyone in the office thinks he's not into her and maybe he doesn't want to fuel this belief?

On my first two days of starting my new job he kept inviting me to waitrose and then it suddenly stopped. I hope no one said anything to him!

I find it upsetting as its so obviously he deliberately won't go with me and I'd really like to understand it more. But I can't ask him directly! Any idea why he's like this?

if they hate you or love you - you still get paid at the end of the day, and that is what is important.

I love my job. I don't think he dislikes me. He's very friendly in every other way. Just wondering about this specific thing.

Probably cause he has a gf and finds you attractive, you make him uncomfortable. Does he ask any other girls to go with him?
