Hi i am a first year student in Motorsport engineering and i am considering of dropping out uni so i will open my very own engineering firm in the automotive sector(low volume vehicle production for road use and closed cirquit).
I am fortunate enough to posses the budget for my start up and the technical knowledge required therefore i want to quit university because it literally wastes valuable working hours, but i was wondering if it's legal to produce and manufacture a product for road use without a degree or accreditation therefore i am asking if there is any need of any kind of documendation for the purpose of product development and manufacturing and if yes, then what it is and how to acquire it? thank you for your time.

I think having the Degree would be better than not having it.
I personally am going to start a blog about my studying my degree, build a following, get networking at conferences, expos etc, then, when I eventually start a business I have all the connections and potential business.
Patience is key my friend.
