A bit of a mixup

OK, well, I've been on a "break" from my bf of a few years, starting under not so favourable circumstances... but things have been alright and we might get back together, ti's just that recently I met up with a friend who's gotten the wrong idea and kissed me on the way back home. It's one of those "it's not you, it's me" issues, have had one of those experiences before and it wasn't one to give me much confidence about doing this now let's say lol! Any help would be really appreciated, how to say I'm not interested in you that way without jeopardising said friendship.

Wow, that's a toughy! :P

To be truthful, I'd be very honest. There's not point in beating around the bush as all that will do is make things worse. How about something like:

'I really like you and there's absolutely nothing wrong with you, but sadly my heart is with my bf and I can't get over him.'

no, say YOU WANT TO GET BACK WITH YOUR BOYFRIEND. if you say anything else, they'll think they have a chance, that they can somehow convince you to change your mind. be brutal.
