TORT exam!

Arghhh... i have my tort law exam in 2 days, and our lecturer told us to revise everything! YES everything!

the exam is formatted like this -
Section A = answer 8 out of 12 short Q's
Section B = answer 2 out of 4 essay Q's
Section C = answer 2 out of 4 problem Q's

Topics which have been studied over the course of the module include:-

Negligence - duty of care, breach of duty, causation
difficult duty areas - psychiatric injury, economic loss, public authorities
Clinical negligence
Product liability
Employers liability
Vicarious liability
Occupiers liability
Nuisance
Tresspass to land
Defamation
Damges/ remedies
Defences
Bereavement
NHS Redress Act 2006

I have been revising for this exam, but i am overloaded with revision topics for this module... anyone got any tips?

hey. Im finding the revision hard going too. Tort... remember that you should look at the 5 main areas when you answer a problem question... duty, breach, causation, remoteness, and damages.

If i were you, id split it into those areas and try to learn the main principles and the main cases, then if you can manage it, learn more around it. that's what ive done anyway... going on what the lecturer said, so i hope that helps.

If it's any help, I found duty of care, occupiers liability, contriburtory negligence and nervous shock to be interesting areas to study

I had 3 and a half hours of Tort yesterday...

I did Product Liability, Battery, and Occupier's Liability.

Oh, how did that go Dreama? Are you all done now?

My tort exam was pretty horrible tbh. I counted on defamation popping up. It didn't. I also avoided 2 minitopics - economic loss and vicarious liability. Both cropped up in three questions :| How gay is that?

As far as revision for Tort Law goes, learning D v S is overrated.
