I have completed bronze and silver DofE but I didn't enjoy them at all. I am signed up to do Gold DofE and I have done most of the preparation for it but I really don't want to do the expedition because, as I said, I don't enjoy it. I'm willing to do it if uni's or employers actually care about it but if not, I can't see the point. I'm wondering if anyone has ever been asked about it at a university/job interview or if anyone has ever mentioned that this was something that helped them get in. Not sure if this is relevant but I want to do an English Literature degree at a top university.

You may be asked about it at interview, but only as an ice-breaker. Few, if any, universities will assign importance to it and you should not waste your time on it if you don't enjoy it.

If you don't enjoy it don't do it.

For Englit you'd be better off spending time doing further reading/extra time on work.
