Anyone have any idea what I could put for this question ???

In manufacturing , increasing the rate on the industrial process though the use of a catalyst is obviously an economic advantage. Suggest one environmental disadvantage linked with the use of catalysts.

    Thanks

Catalysts do not have many disadvantages as such. The sole reason they're used is for industrial benefit.

One disadvantage I can think of are that separation of the product and the catalyst must be done after the reaction in which case the waste product must be dispose of; this holds true especially in the case of homogenous catalysts.

I don't do AS Chem, but surely during the industrial process pollutants are formed as by-products right? If you're upping the rate of reactions, you're producing more pollutants in the same time period. That's bad for the Environment.
